On 16-12-2014, a group of Taliban terrorists stormed a school in Peshawar and shot to death over a 100 children. No God, no religion, no political party, no human being has the right to do something so barbaric ...
There was a patter of little feet,
Chasing laughter down hallways
Hoisting bagfuls of hope on tiny shoulders
For a future …
That was erased from the blackboards
Before it even got a chance to be spelt
There is now deafening silence
Echoing gunshots down hallways
Heavy with the weight of unfulfilled dreams
For the present …
That was snatched away from tiny hands
Before it even got a chance to be felt
There will be only emptiness
Devoid of hope, or dreams, or even life
Forever more …
For humanity has now died a thousand deaths
Before it even got a chance …
