Sleeping Love ...

A dialogue from a movie called Chitrangada that touched me to the core ...

Rituporno Ghosh, the lead (as a man who wanted to become a woman, because he loved another man) ... lay in a  hospital bed.

He had two visitors ...
Jisshu Sengupta (the man Ritu was in love with) and
Raima Sen (a member of Ritu's theater group) ...

Here's what commenced:

Ritu lay in bed, with Jisshu and Raima fussing over him, giving him water, and helping him in and out of his bed. Then, as they begin to leave, Ritu asks them to stay awhile, since it was raining outside. So they wait, while he turns over to sleep.

Much much later in the movie, Ritu has a face-off with Jisshu, who has by  now gotten over his love for the former and has developed a relationship with Raima. Jisshu declares that he's going to marry Raima. Ritu does not object ... but just a potent dialogue, while the movie cuts to a scene in the hospital bed, where Ritu is shown lying sideways on bed, seemingly asleep while Jisshu and Raima fondle each other in the background.

"All I will say to you, is that, never make love to someone else assuming that the one who loves you is asleep ... "
