You make me laugh, all day long, out loud
And I love the crow's feet that it brings to my eyes ...
They hide the darkness pooling in them, behind a really bright shroud
So you see only my joyous smiles - no matter how hard you try ...
You make me cry, every bloody single time
But I love the salty aftertaste of the tears ...
Every moment I spend with you, speeds up the pace of time
And I'm left with a million questions, doubts, and fears ...
Most often though, you leave me, feeling utterly clueless
I don't know whether I should laugh or weep ...
And my heart aches, shattered in its numbness
Caused by little joys and great sorrows that it struggles to keep ...
