I do love the rains you know, as long as they stay outside,
Pattering on the window sill, making yellowed leaves glide!
I love the way they thrash the trees, making them dance and sway,
Battering, thundering, storming - driving my fears away!
I love the way they make things dark, pitch-black so to see,
Numbing my fears, overshadowing my shadows, filling me with glee!
BUT ...
I hate the way the rains drench me, caressing me head to toe,
Its then when I see the wonderful rain as the dreaded foe!
I'd love the rain if it stayed away, visible only to my eye
If not, then its just too bad, I'd have to wish it goodbye!
